Carol
and Keno on the breaks of the Snake River |
Carol
Larsen of Cofax, WA shared her feelings about
her Hooper Crossing horse, “Keno”:
“Everyone
thought I was crazy for buying a horse pretty
much sight unseen and that I had never ridden;
but when they find out it was one of Keith’s
horses, they are not laughing anynmore. It just
amazes me the foundation that Keith applies
to every horse. Keno is so far ahead of other
horses his age! If the horses he has trained
had a title it would be ‘common sense
and confidence’. I’ve tried everything
I could think of to spook Keno (killer mailboxes,
horse eating tarps, irate cows, bridges, and
horse swallowing puddles), and he’s taken
them all in stride. If he balked at all, all
I have to do is show him once and it’s
no problem the next time. That is all training
and Keith has such a gentle way with them that
I think horses enjoy learning from Keith!
Thank
you Keith for introducing me to my new best
friend!!! You are the best!!”
